We welcome working together for the benefit of our young people. Parents can contact the school at any time of year to discuss issues with Pupil Support (Guidance), Pupil Support (Support for Learning) and the Senior Leadership Team, and a meeting can be arranged as and when required.
Planned across the school year, we have virtual Parents’ Evenings, tracking reports and full reports covering all year groups. This combination of feedback will give you a good indication of your child’s progress. To complement this, we have a raft of letters linked to on-going tracking and monitoring of your child’s progress. Such letters will be issued as and when appropriate:

In addition to our virtual Parents’ Evenings, there will be an opportunity to arrange a follow up, face to face meeting, with your child’s Pupil Support (Guidance) Principal Teacher when you have any concerns or issues you wish to discuss and explore further. Alternatively, you may receive contact from your child’s Pupil Support (Guidance) Principal Teacher to encourage your attendance to our virtual Parents’ Evening and they may also offer the alternative face to face Parents’ Evening as well. The school will inform you of when the Parents’ Evening booking system is open so that you can make an appointment for a face to face meeting. Each appointment will last for ten minutes, and we have the capacity to have 48 appointments on any given evening.
Furthermore, going beyond the significant features of making contact with parents and carers, we have a whole raft of ways we communicate regularly with parents such as texting information home, e-mailing direct to individual parents, telephone calls, announcements through our weekly publications such as the Heads-up or Lochaber High Success, Facebook and Twitter and of course our school website. To complement this we have an active Parent Council which meets regularly to discuss school business. We look forward to working with you for the benefit of your child. |
